Exploring Meditation & Prānāyāma

Join us as we explore various techniques to effectively navigate breath, mindfulness, and meditation, as well as the effects and benefits it can have on the body, mind and our overall wellbeing in a safe, supportive environment.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is an ancient technique and is a systematic practice of moving awareness from your external world to your inner world (your body).

In a Yoga Nidra state, the mental processes and our senses rest so that our minds can become clear and calm.

This class is suitable for everyone, especially those who would like to experience a deeper sense of peace and re-connect with themselves.

It is beneficial for especially those who struggle to let go, suffers from lack of sleep, trauma, burnout, and anxiety.

 

Through regular practice, tensions at the physical, emotional, and mental level can be minimised.

Yin & Mindfulness

A passive, mindful, mostly floor based practice, holding the shapes, for around 4-7 minutes. Targeting deeper connective tissue (ligaments, tendons and fascia).   

Increasing spaciousness, flexibility, connection while building resilience & reducing tension..

Yin yoga is also wonderful for nourishing the nervous system.​​

Support your practice as much as you need/feel with props (blankets, bolsters, blocks etc) to find the edge that feels right for you.

Mellow Slow Flow

A grounding practice with slower transitions, time to find your feet, strengthening, lengthening & balancing.

​Slower paced but sure to get you feeling stronger and understand your movement and body better. 

A foundational practice, a balance of mindful heathy movement, stillness, breath and meditation.

Mellow Gentle Movement​

Very Gentle, subtle movement, breath & meditation, gently strengthening, lengthening & balancing.

A great first class back after a while, first class ever or if you're simply in the mood for a more grounding practice.


Suitable for all levels - from experienced to absolute beginners, if you have limited movement and/or recovering from illness/injury.

Spicy Yoga Flow

A spicy, dynamic & progressive vinyasa style flow, building strength, flexibility, cardio, endurance, while creating some heat.

Fluid movement harmonizing the mind, body & breath.

 

Loads of options so you can find your practice within and time throughout to pause, be still, check in and rest.

Including balancing, healthy fluid movement, stillness, breath and mindfulness honoring the ebbs & flows of the tides & life.

Some level of Yoga practice experience is recommended.

Restorative Yoga

Restore and nourish your body and mind with this proactive healing practice, giving your body and nervous system a chance to catch up and reset.


Using props (bolsters/blankets/blocks etc) to find the best support for your body to allow comfort and relaxation, time to rest, restore, realign and recover in the most gentlest way possible.

Community Yoga

A donation based class including Gentle Mindful Movement, Stillness, Breath & Meditation finding a balance of Yin & Yang.​​

Classes are suitable for all levels of experience, and are beginner friendly.

Also a good first class if you have not yet been to the studio and want to come and see if it is a good fit!.

A Gentle, Mellow Mindful Movement Practice.

Suitable for all levels of experience & beginner friendly.

Bring you, a yoga mat or towel, H20, sunscreen & any props you might like to use to support your practice.

Everyone is invited!

Book casually online, use your class pass or bring cash on the day ($25) - free for members

Stay and chat after @thenourishedsovereign for coffee, tea, and delicious snacks.
